Dr. Charles J. Fey retired on July 1, 2017, after a career spanning 44 years in various administrative capacities in higher education. Dr. Fey’s strong record of accomplishments as an executive administrator (Vice President) in six institutions and his management experiences in four more demonstrates his deep understanding of issues and trends that particularly affect today’s campuses.

Fey served in several small and rural institutions as well as seven metropolitan universities. He has served in elected leadership positions in the professional associations of Massachusetts and Texas and elected and appointed positions nationally in NASPA, ACPA, and APLU.

He is recognized as a prominent voice in his profession for promoting access, inclusion, and success for all students. In recognition of his efforts in fostering student achievement and success throughout his career, he received his profession’s highest honors from both ACPA (Diamond Honoree, and the Esther Lloyd Jones Outstanding Professional Service Award) and NASPA (Pillar of the Profession Award.).
